Early Career

The founder began his career as an intern at a multinational manufacturing company, quickly progressing to staff accountant and then to cost accountant. During this tenure, he honed essential accounting skills, including running standard cost rolls, creating journal entries, and performing thorough account reconciliations. Their analytical work led to significant cost reductions through the outsourcing of all assembly operations to a contract manufacturer.

Cost Accountant Role

After moving to Massachusetts, the founder joined a leading global engineering company as a cost accountant. Here, he successfully cleaned up inventory and Work in Progress (WIP) accounts, clearing over $16 million in old work orders. He conducted a comprehensive physical inventory count and rolled standard costs. As the finance lead on Operational Excellence and Sourcing Task Forces, he helped achieve a substantial reduction in manufacturing costs over two years.

Operations Controller

As an operations controller at a medical device manufacturing firm, the founder orchestrated seamless month-end close processes and crafted dynamic presentations for senior management. By analyzing productivity using the Units per Paid Hour metric, they implemented productivity enhancements that resulted in a significant increase in output and operational efficiency. His responsibilities also included providing weekly and monthly forecasts, conducting variance analysis, and presenting actionable solutions to senior management.

Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Promoted to Manager of FP&A at the same firm, the founder became the strategic financial planning point of contact, reporting directly to the CFO. He delivered insightful commentary on monthly, quarterly, and year-end results, tracked business performance against budgets and forecasts, and partnered with stakeholders to understand and address variances. He designed and implemented a comprehensive consolidation model for system integration, significantly improving the close time and the quality of KPIs. Additionally, he provided financial oversight for multiple business units and led the budget process, creating templates for all financial statements.

Finance Program Manager

Further advancing his career, the founder was promoted to Finance Program Manager, overseeing numerous financial projects while simultaneously filling in as interim controller at a key site. They also assumed the role of FP&A manager due to turnover, managing all projects and ensuring continuity in financial planning and analysis activities.
